Satwiksairaj Rankireddy fit for BWF World Championships in New Delhi

India's badminton doubles coach, Tan Kim Her, has confirmed that Satwiksairaj Rankireddy is fully recovered from his recent injury ahead of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Championships. The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 17–23 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Arena in New Delhi.

Tan advised the star doubles pairing of Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty to manage their pressure by taking the tournament "one match at a time" and not placing "too much expectations" on themselves. This follows a period where the duo faced early exits in the Japan and Indonesia Opens due to injury concerns, despite their success at the Singapore Open in May.

In the men's doubles draw, the fifth-seeded pair has received a bye in the first round. Regarding former coach Mathias Boe, Tan noted that Boe is not part of the official coaching staff but is instead working with the players as a "friend outside."
