Sauce Grande council debates healthcare coverage expansion

The Sauce Grande Deliberative Council has initiated a debate regarding healthcare coverage and the operational structure of the local Primary Health Care Center (CAPS). The discussion follows a proposal by La Libertad Avanza and Primero Monte Hermoso requesting a permanent nursing guard and an ambulance for the facility.

Currently, the CAPS operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 16:00, staffed by a nurse and an ambulance driver. Medical services are limited, with a general practitioner attending twice weekly and an obstetrician once every 15 days. The council has unanimously decided to refer the matter to a commission for further analysis to determine how to better coordinate local care with the Municipal Hospital of Monte Hermoso.
