Saucony refreshes ProGrid Guide 7 with new colors as New Balance revives 740N with JJJJound
Saucony has introduced two new colourways for its ProGrid Guide 7 running shoe – Silver/Maroon and White/Drupe – and launched a campaign that highlights how running remains part of everyday life, even on rest days. The shoe retains its layered rubber outsole, Grid cushioning and breathable mesh upper while offering a fresh summer look.
New Balance, in partnership with the Montreal‑based design studio JJJJound, has relaunched the previously unremarkable 740N model in a "Mushroom" palette of light brown, sand and taupe. The collaboration removes seams, adds a denser mesh, and applies a monochrome colour scheme that gives the shoe a sleek, technical appearance. The revision marks JJJJound’s first work with New Balance on a model produced outside the brand’s UK/USA lines, potentially lowering the price point.
Both releases target runners and lifestyle consumers seeking updated aesthetics and modest technical upgrades without major redesigns.
