Mokha: Six civilians killed in Saudi-led airstrikes in Yemen
Houthi-aligned news agency SABA reports that Saudi-led coalition airstrikes in the Yemeni port city of Mokha have killed six civilians, including two children and a woman. An additional eight people, including a child and a woman, were reportedly injured in the strikes, which Houthi health official Anis Alasbahi claims deliberately targeted residential areas.
The attacks follow the Houthi rebels' rapid advance in early September, during which they seized control of Mokha and strengthened their presence near the strategic Bab el-Mandeb strait. This movement has caused tens of thousands of residents to flee toward Aden, the current seat of the internationally recognized government.
In response to a recent joint defense agreement signed on August 7 between Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, Houthi leader Abdelmalik al Houthi issued a warning. He advised both Turkey and Pakistan not to become involved in the Saudi military campaign in Yemen for the sake of political or material gains.
