Saudi Ambassador meets Nepal Foreign Minister

Saudi Ambassador to Nepal, Fahd Mohammad A. Mnikhr, met with Nepali Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal to discuss bilateral relations and the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in political consultations, investment, tourism, air connectivity, and labor mobility.

A key priority of the meeting was the safety and welfare of Nepali workers in Saudi Arabia. Minister Khanal expressed concern regarding reports of unfair wages for some Nepali laborers and urged Saudi authorities to address these issues. He also acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s efforts in providing security during regional conflicts and assisting in the repatriation of the bodies of deceased Nepali citizens.
