Saudi Arabia and Jordan deny meeting Netanyahu in UAE

Saudi Arabia and Jordan have officially denied reports claiming their officials met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his recent visit to the United Arab Emirates.

Following claims by Israeli media that Netanyahu held a multilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi involving representatives from several Middle Eastern nations—including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, and others—to discuss regional security and intelligence cooperation, officials from Riyadh and Amman dismissed the allegations. A senior Saudi official told Reuters that the reports of a meeting between Saudi and Israeli officials were incorrect. Similarly, Jordanian official sources described the claims as “baseless fabrications” promoted for electoral purposes to alleviate Netanyahu’s international isolation.

While the United Arab Emirates confirmed that President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Netanyahu to discuss bilateral relations, no official confirmation was provided regarding additional multilateral meetings. The denials come amid Saudi Arabia’s consistent stance that normalization with Israel is contingent upon a clear path toward a two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
