Saudi Arabia and Malaysia sign auditing cooperation MoU

The General Court of Audit of Saudi Arabia and the National Audit Office of Malaysia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in accounting, auditing, and professional fields.

The signing ceremony took place in Putrajaya, Malaysia, attended by the Saudi Ambassador to Malaysia, Osama bin Dakhel Al-Ahmadi. The agreement aims to facilitate the exchange of expertise, professional capacity building, and the development of unified work manuals.

Key areas of focus include financial and performance auditing through joint workshops and specialized training programs. This collaboration is supported by the membership of both institutions in the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI). Officials from both sides met following the signing to discuss specific areas of alignment and future joint work.
