Saudi Arabia and Qatar deepen cooperation on cyber security and logistics

Saudi Arabia led a Gulf cyber‑security initiative by launching a threat‑information sharing platform during a ministerial meeting in Doha. The platform, part of the GCC cyber‑security strategy, was presented by Majid Al‑Mazeed, governor of the Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority, alongside partners such as SITE and the International Cybersecurity Forum.

In a separate virtual meeting, Qatar and Saudi officials agreed to strengthen logistical coordination to improve supply‑chain resilience. They discussed faster customs procedures, enhanced trade corridors and noted that bilateral trade reached 9.3 million Saudi riyals in 2025. Participants included Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al‑Sayeed, and Saudi Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics, Rami bin Mohammed Al‑Rumaih. Both initiatives reflect growing economic and security cooperation between the two neighbours.
