Saudi Arabia and Sudan establish Supreme Council for Strategic Coordination

Saudi Arabia and Sudan have signed an agreement to establish the Supreme Council for Strategic Coordination. The agreement was signed by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Moehieddin Salem.

The council aims to provide a comprehensive institutional framework to manage and develop bilateral relations, coordinating positions and unifying visions on shared interests. The cooperation covers ten key areas, including political, economic, investment, and trade sectors, as well as other fields related to bilateral cooperation.

Observers suggest this strategic agreement could reshape regional alliances in the Middle East and the Red Sea. The partnership seeks to facilitate joint projects and support economic development and stability, while providing a formal framework for institutionalized cooperation between the two nations.
