Saudi Arabia celebrates 96th National Day with nationwide festivities

Saudi Arabia is celebrating its 96th National Day under the theme “Our Pride Is in Our Nature.” The festivities include a wide array of cultural, military, and community events across the Kingdom.

In Riyadh, the Royal Commission and the Emirate of Riyadh are hosting tours of the historic Qasr Al-Hukm, featuring the “Salman and Riyadh” exhibition. The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has organized large-scale airshows, naval displays, and fireworks in multiple cities, including Jeddah, Riyadh, and Al-Khobar.

Regional celebrations are widespread. Jeddah is hosting community events and inclusive sports activities for people with disabilities. AlUla is preparing a program of heritage and cultural activities, including traditional music, film screenings, and the annual date harvest season. In Jazan, public buildings and streets are decorated in green, accompanied by cultural exhibitions and workshops.

Commercial and hospitality sectors are also participating, with hotels like the Sofitel Riyadh offering themed dining and family activities, and retailers like REDTAG launching special collections and community activations in major malls.
