Saudi Arabia celebrates 96th National Day with nationwide festivities

Saudi Arabia is observing widespread celebrations for its 96th National Day across various regions, featuring a blend of military displays, cultural heritage, and modern entertainment.

In Diriyah, the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, organized a military parade. The event included soldiers on horseback marching through Wadi Hanifa and along Imam Abdulaziz bin Saud Road, symbolizing national unity and historical roots. A bicycle parade was also held in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense.

The Red Sea destination is hosting festivities that combine traditional Saudi culture with luxury resort experiences. Activities include folklore performances, live music, and traditional crafts at Shura Island Marina, alongside laser and fire shows at the SLS Red Sea resort.

In Tabuk, the regional municipality organized over 50 events across 17 locations, featuring Saudi Ardah dances, traditional crafts, and national parades. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance launched a broad media and cultural campaign to promote national belonging and unity through digital content and mosque-based activities.

In major cities like Riyadh and Jeddah, celebrations included aerial displays, military vehicle exhibitions, and light shows. Jeddah's Corniche hosted various family-oriented activities, including theater performances and folk music, while the streets were decorated with thousands of national flags.
