Saudi Arabia improves global real estate transparency ranking
Saudi Arabia has achieved a significant milestone by entering the “transparent markets” category in the Global Real Estate Transparency Index 2026. Issued by JLL and LaSalle Investment Management, the index ranks the Kingdom 35th globally and identifies it as one of the three most-improved countries worldwide.
The Kingdom's progress is attributed to Vision 2030 reforms and digital transformation initiatives, including the launch of an official platform for real estate indicators that centralizes data on transaction volumes, sale prices, and rental prices. Enhanced regulatory frameworks for off-plan projects and improved standards for listed real estate companies have further bolstered market transparency.
In addition to these structural reforms, the Saudi property sector is seeing increased recognition through the Real Estate Excellence Award. This competition, an extension of the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence, evaluates developments based on innovation, architectural design, and sustainability through an international jury of experts.
