Saudi Arabia installs electronic guidance screens at Masjid al‑Haram to streamline pilgrim traffic

The Saudi General Authority for the Affairs of the Holy Mosques has deployed electronic guidance screens at the gates and outer courtyards of the Masjid al‑Haram. The displays provide real‑time information on gate status, available entrances, and crowd density, allowing pilgrims to choose less‑congested routes, reduce waiting times and improve overall crowd management within the holy site.

In parallel, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has expanded its "Nusk Inayat" service centres across Mecca, Medina, Jeddah, and other high‑traffic locations. Operating around the clock, the centres assist pilgrims with navigation, answer queries, handle missing‑person reports, and support use of the "Nusk" and "Tawakkalna" apps. During the 1447 AH Hajj season, the centres delivered more than 600,000 services, including guidance, health assistance, and business‑related support, enhancing the experience for visitors throughout Saudi Arabia.
