Saudi Arabia joins global transparent real estate markets category
Saudi Arabia has entered the transparent real estate markets category for the first time, according to the 2026 Global Real Estate Transparency Index released by JLL and Colliers. The Kingdom ranked 35th globally, scoring 2.52 points on an index that evaluates 88 countries and 146 cities based on 260 distinct factors.
This advancement is attributed to regulatory reforms aligned with Vision 2030, including the digital transformation of government services and the establishment of centralized digital databases for sales prices, rents, and transaction volumes. Other contributing factors include enhanced governance and disclosure standards for companies listed on the Saudi stock market, as well as improved regulations for off-plan real estate development.
Saudi Arabia was identified as one of the top three countries globally for improvement in real estate transparency between 2024 and 2026, following Abu Dhabi and Dubai. These developments reflect a broader regional trend of increasing market clarity and data reliability in the Middle East.
