Saudi Arabia opens registration for King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2026

The National Falcons Center has opened registration for the 2026 King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival, scheduled to take place in Malham, north of Riyadh, from November 17 to 30. Recognized as the world’s largest gathering of falcons, the festival features the Al-Melwah and Al-Mazayen competitions, with total prizes exceeding 38 million riyals.

Registration for participating falcons begins on October 22 via the center’s electronic platform and continues until November 2. Specific in-person registration for new falcons and ownership transfers will be available from October 29 to 31 at the center’s headquarters. International participants can register in person between November 17 and 23.

In the Makkah region, the falconry season is also active along the coasts and plains of Al-Lith and Al-Qunfudhah. This period coincides with bird migration patterns, driving economic activity through falcon trading, specialized auctions, and the sale of hunting equipment. The National Falcons Center auction is set to run from October 1 through November 30, focusing on locally caught falcons.
