Saudi Arabia projected to lead fastest billionaire growth by 2031

Projections for 2026‑2031 show Saudi Arabia’s billionaire population could increase by 183%, far outpacing other nations. The surge is tied to the kingdom’s diversification efforts, shifting capital from oil into logistics, tourism, and large‑scale infrastructure projects.

Poland and Sweden rank second and third with projected growth of 123% and 81% respectively. Poland’s rise is linked to manufacturing strength, technology outsourcing and deeper EU supply‑chain integration, while Sweden’s growth stems from tech, green industry and export‑heavy firms. Other economies such as Australia, Denmark, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Norway and India also feature in the top‑ten list, reflecting varied local drivers of wealth creation across Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Overall, the forecast suggests a scattered acceleration of billionaire numbers worldwide, driven by a mix of traditional resource wealth, emerging technology sectors and policy‑enabled capital flows.
