Saudi Arabia T100 and World Cup postponed to April 2027

The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO), World Triathlon, and the Saudi Triathlon Federation have announced the postponement of the T100 series and the World Cup in Jeddah. Originally scheduled for November 27–28, 2026, the events will now take place on April 16–17, 2027.

The organizations stated the decision follows a joint review of organizational and technical requirements to ensure the inaugural editions in the Kingdom are held with all necessary guarantees. The rescheduling affects both professional athletes and amateur participants who had planned travel to the region.

The postponement occurs amid regional geopolitical uncertainty. Reports indicate that intercepted ballistic missile shrapnel fell in Jeddah in late October. Additionally, the US State Department has issued a level 3 travel advisory for Saudi Arabia, while the governments of Canada and Australia have advised against non-essential travel to the country.
