Saudi Arabia to regularize residency for undocumented Yemenis

Saudi Arabia has announced a new initiative to regularize the residency status of Yemeni nationals living in the Kingdom without legal documentation. The move follows a direct request from Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, and was implemented under the directives of King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

The Saudi Ministry of Interior will lead the process in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, and the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). To qualify for the regularization program, applicants must possess a valid Yemeni passport.

The Yemeni Embassy in Riyadh has urged its citizens to take advantage of this humanitarian measure and to follow official instructions. The embassy, in coordination with the consulate, will facilitate necessary consular services for beneficiaries. Officials have advised citizens to rely solely on official government channels for information regarding the program's start date and specific regulations, which will be announced by the General Directorate of Passports.
