Saudi Arabia weather: Heavy rain and flash floods forecast for several regions

The National Center of Meteorology has forecasted heavy thunderstorms and hail across parts of Jazan, Asir, Al Bahah, and Makkah, which may lead to flash flooding. Light to moderate rainfall is also expected in southern parts of the Eastern Province, Riyadh, Madinah, and parts of Najran.

Dust and sand-inducing winds are expected to persist in several regions, including Hail, Tabuk, and Al-Jouf. Some eastern areas of the Kingdom may experience hot to very hot temperatures, with potential fog during the night and early morning hours along coastal areas and parts of Tabuk and Madinah.

Maritime conditions for the Red Sea include wind speeds reaching up to 50 km/h during thunderstorms, with wave heights potentially exceeding two meters. In the Arabian Gulf, winds are expected to range between 10 and 30 km/h, with wave heights between 0.5 and 1.5 meters.
