Saudi Arabia weather forecast predicts thunderstorms and dust storms

The National Center of Meteorology has issued a weather forecast for Wednesday, predicting rainy thunderstorms accompanied by active winds in parts of Jazan, Asir, and Al Bahah. High maximum temperatures are expected to persist in parts of the Eastern Province and Riyadh.

Active winds capable of stirring up dust and sand are expected to affect several regions, including Najran, the Northern Borders, Hail, Al Qassim, Madinah, and Makkah.

Regarding maritime conditions, surface winds on the Red Sea are expected to be northwesterly to westerly at speeds between 15 and 40 km/h, potentially exceeding 50 km/h in the south where thunderstorms are present. Wave heights in the Red Sea may reach over two meters. In the Arabian Gulf, winds will range from 10 to 42 km/h depending on the sector, with wave heights between 0.5 and 1.5 meters.
