Saudi Arabian air defenses intercept multiple drones over Riyadh and Medina

Saudi Arabian air defenses, acting on behalf of the coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen, intercepted and destroyed several explosive drones targeting civilian areas in the Riyadh and Medina regions. According to coalition spokesperson Major General Turki al-Malki, missile systems successfully neutralized the threats in mid-air, resulting in no civilian casualties or material damage.

This latest interception follows a series of aerial threats reported within a 24-hour period. Earlier reports indicated the destruction of four drones in the Eastern Province and one drone in the Riyadh area, bringing the total number of intercepted drones to nine within less than a day.

These attacks coincide with an increase in ballistic missile and suicide drone activity directed at vital infrastructure and military installations. The coalition has previously responded by targeting missile launch platforms and military warehouses in Yemen's Saada governorate to prevent simultaneous strikes.
