Saudi Arabian universities partner with tech firms to boost digital skills

Several Saudi Arabian educational institutions are entering strategic partnerships to enhance digital learning and professional readiness.

Nemetschek Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Jeddah to advance digital skills in the architecture, engineering, construction, and operations (AEC/O) sectors. The collaboration includes providing software licenses for tools such as Bluebeam, Archicad, and Vectorworks to give students hands-on experience. The initiative also aims to provide specialized training for academic staff and explore the co-development of professional diploma programs.

Separately, the Research and Consulting Studies Institute at King Khalid University has contracted with Naseej for Technology Company to provide edX licenses through the FutureX national e-learning ecosystem. This initiative aims to broaden access to global online courses, certificate programs, and microcredentials, supporting professional development and knowledge transfer within the kingdom’s national e-learning framework.
