Saudi Arabia reports successful 2026 Hajj season for over 1.7 million pilgrims
Saudi authorities announced that the 1447 AH (2026) Hajj season concluded successfully, hosting 1,707,301 pilgrims from 165 nations. The Ministry of Health confirmed no epidemic outbreaks or other health threats, despite global disease alerts, while the Saudi meteorological agency reported a 98 % forecast accuracy for the sacred sites. Indonesian pilgrim operations were completed on schedule: the armuzna phase ended with all Indonesian groups leaving Mina, and the final Tawaf Wada was performed at the Masjid al‑Harām. The Pakistan Hajj Mission received its second consecutive Labaytum Excellence Award for logistics and service quality. Saudi leadership highlighted integrated security, organization and service systems that ensured safe, orderly rites. Overall, the season was described as “smooth, secure and comfortable” for pilgrims and a model for future Hajj management.
