Saudi Aramco considers selling Polish assets
Saudi Aramco is reportedly reconsidering its presence in Poland, potentially leading to the sale of its local assets. According to Rzeczpospolita, the company may divest from its interests in the country, which could include portions of the Gdansk refinery.
This move aligns with Aramco’s broader strategy to raise capital for Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification and reduce oil dependency. The company has previously engaged in asset sales through its subsidiary Sabic and has reportedly tasked JPMorgan Chase with assessing the market for a potential sale.
Several major energy companies are identified as potential bidders. The Hungarian company Mol is considered a primary candidate, alongside BP and Shell.
