Saudi-backed Dragon Ball Theme Park Planned Near Paris

Investors from Saudi Arabia, through Qiddiya Investment Company – a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) – are in talks with French authorities to redevelop the former Mirapolis amusement‑park site in Courdimanche, Val‑d’Oise, just outside Paris. The proposal envisions a Dragon Ball‑themed leisure complex, potentially the first of its kind in Europe, with estimates of up to a billion dollars in investment, though no final agreement, timeline or exact amount has been confirmed.

The project is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader strategy to diversify its economy into tourism and entertainment. French officials have been reviewing land, transport, energy and governance issues, while the proximity of the site to Belgium has drawn additional regional interest.
