Saudi Cabinet Transfers Real Estate Registration to General Authority

In a Council of Ministers meeting in Jeddah chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi cabinet approved moving all digital and operational services linked to real‑estate documentation from the Ministry of Justice to the General Authority of Real Estate. The shift is intended to unify the real‑estate registration system, improve efficiency, transparency and data quality, and support the growth of the sector in line with Vision 2030.

Municipal and Housing Minister Majid bin Abdullah Al‑Haqeel welcomed the decision, saying it will enhance integration of digital services, raise reliability of transactions and be carried out through a coordinated transition plan with the Justice Ministry.
