Saudi Camel Federation opens registration for Crown Prince Camel Festival

The Saudi Camel Federation has announced the commencement of registration for the rider rounds (for both men and women) in the eighth edition of the Crown Prince Camel Festival. The competition is scheduled to take place at the historic Taif camel racing grounds from September 3 to September 13, 2026.

For the rider marathon, the organizing committee has allocated 620,000 SAR in total prizes, with 155,000 SAR designated for each of the four main rounds. The competition includes two rounds for men and two rounds for women. Participants must be at least 18 years old and provide official documentation, including national ID and bank details.

In addition to the rider rounds, the festival features 24 symbol rounds with a total prize pool of 30.4 million SAR. The overall prize value for the entire festival exceeds 50 million SAR. Major prizes for the top positions in the large symbol rounds include 1.5 million SAR for first place. The festival, overseen by Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, aims to support breeders and owners while promoting the sport and its economic and tourism benefits.
