Saudi Camel Racing’s Hama Tawik Cup Winners Crowned in Taif

Deputy head of the Saudi Camel Federation, Mohammed bin Hamad Al‑Balawi, presented the awards for the Hama Tawik Cup at the Taif camel‑racing venue, with businessman Riyadh bin Thamer Al‑Saadoun in attendance. The competition was part of the second race of the 2026 Taif season and offered prize money exceeding 1.54 million Saudi riyals across 16 races.

Winners were announced in several categories. In the Mafarid division, owner Ali Salm Al‑Saqqaq won the 2026‑Bakar cup with the horse “Jana,” while Haran Rashid Al‑Ghafli took the Qadan cup on “Al‑Shababi.” Saudi‑produced horses also claimed top spots, with Fahid Rashid Al‑Miri on “Al‑Wasmiyah” and Sultan Suhayb Al‑Dossary on “Sahaj.” In the Haqayiq division, owners such as Attallah Saeed Al‑Sharrari and Muhammad bin Ali Al‑Miri secured victories with “Al‑Tarikhiyah” and “Badran,” respectively. Additional categories – Laqaya, Jadhāʿ, and Thana – saw owners like Ubaid Ali Al‑Sanari, Bandar Mohammed Zoman, and Masfar Yahya Al‑Suleim win with horses “Al‑Ghazil,” “Mahawi,” and “Al‑Thahabi.”
