Saudi Crown Prince Details Hajj Preparations at Leaders Reception
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman hosted the annual reception for Islamic leaders and dignitaries at the Mena Palace, welcoming heads of state from Albania, Chad, Turkey, Egypt, the Maldives, Mauritania, Guinea and others. In his speech he highlighted Saudi Arabia's comprehensive preparations for the Hajj season.
He reported that more than one million pilgrim contracts have been secured, the "No Hajj without Permit" campaign is in place, and infrastructure upgrades include full automation of electrical networks, 8 million cubic metres of water provision, and the construction of a 134‑megawatt power conversion station. Transport arrangements cover over 173 000 flights from 366 destinations, more than 5 300 rail trips and over 24 000 buses. Health services feature more than 20 000 beds, with 3 800 in the holy sites staffed by 52 000 health workers. The digital "Nusk" application now offers over 130 services to streamline pilgrim journeys.
