Saudi digital economy exceeds 522 billion riyals amid LEAP 26

Saudi Arabia’s digital economy has grown by 75% since the launch of Vision 2030, surpassing 522 billion riyals. Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Alswaha, announced that this expansion has created approximately 410,000 jobs within the digital and technical sectors.

At the LEAP 26 conference in Riyadh, the event has attracted over 250,000 innovators and participants. The Kingdom’s technological ecosystem includes nearly 5,000 tech companies, including nine billion-dollar enterprises, and holds at least a 50% share of technical and investment indicators in the MENA region.

In conjunction with the conference, the Deep Fest platform, organized in partnership with the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), is hosting over 50 sessions featuring 100 speakers from 17 countries. The event focuses on Agentic AI, robotics, and responsible AI governance. Dr. Essam Alwaqit, Director of the National Information Center, noted that Saudi Arabia is among the top ten global investors in private AI and ranks 14th globally in the 2025 Global AI Index.
