Saudi First Division football season begins

The 2026–2027 Saudi First Division football season is set to begin with several key matchups. The new season features promoted teams Al-Saqr, Al-Jeel, and Hajer, alongside clubs relegated from the Saudi Pro League, including Damac, Al-Okhdood, and Al-Najma.

Initial fixtures include Al-Jeel facing Zulfi, Al-Anwar visiting Al-Bukayriyah, and Al-Wahda hosting Al-Adalah. Other scheduled matches for the opening round include Al-Najma against Al-Jandal, Al-Okhdood against Al-Ta'i, and Al-Orouba against Al-Raed.
