Saudi GACA releases July 2026 aviation performance index

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) released its performance index for July 2026, detailing passenger complaints against national air carriers and airports in Saudi Arabia. A total of 1,718 complaints were filed against airlines, while airports recorded 153 complaints.

Among airlines, Saudia ranked first with the lowest complaint rate at 24 per 100,000 passengers and a 97% timely resolution rate. flynas followed in second place with 41 complaints per 100,000 passengers and a 100% resolution rate. Riyadh Air ranked third with 51 complaints per 100,000 passengers, and flyadeal ranked fourth with 54 complaints per 100,000 passengers.

The most frequent complaint categories were related to flights, followed by ticketing and baggage services.

In the airport sector, King Khalid International Airport had the lowest complaint rate for international airports serving over six million passengers annually, at 1% per 100,000 passengers. For international airports serving fewer than six million passengers, King Abdullah International Airport led with a 2% complaint rate. Among domestic airports, Bisha Airport recorded the fewest complaints at 2% per 100,000 passengers.
