Saudi Health Minister Fadh al‑Jalajel signs health cooperation agreements with Uzbekistan

Saudi Health Minister Fadh bin Abdulrahman al‑Jalajel attended a round‑table meeting in Tashkent with Uzbek officials, including President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Health Minister Eldor Edilov. The gathering involved 75 senior officials and 60 private‑sector CEOs and focused on expanding bilateral health cooperation.

During the event the two sides signed several memoranda of understanding: a telemedicine programme linking Saudi virtual health hospitals with the Uzbek health ministry, a joint health‑insurance fund initiative, a digital‑transformation partnership with Saudi firm Lin, and agreements on workforce training and medical education with the Tashkent Medical University. The agreements aim to promote investment, share expertise, and advance digital health and pharmaceutical development between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan.
