Saudi Arabia labor market strategy reaches 97% implementation

Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, announced that 97% of the national labor market strategy launched in 2020 has been implemented. During the 12th Riyadh Economic Forum, Al-Rajhi reported that female workforce participation has risen to 37%, up from 17% at the start of Vision 2030, with a target of 40% by 2030. He also noted that the number of Saudis in the workforce grew from 1.7 million to 2.7 million over the last five years.

To support these goals, the Ministry is focusing on knowledge localization, skill development, and automation. Initiatives include the establishment of the Skills and Training Agency and the launch of the ‘Wa’ad’ national training campaign, which aims to provide over 4 million training opportunities.

Additionally, the Institute of Public Administration held its 30th ‘Graduate and Job’ ceremony in Riyadh, celebrating the graduation of 1,055 students (597 males and 458 females) from its various branches. The event, attended by Minister Al-Rajhi, highlighted the institute's role in preparing national talent for the public, private, and non-profit sectors in alignment with Vision 2030.
