Saudi Institutions Record Net Purchases of 1.54 Billion Riyals in July 2026
Saudi institutional investors posted net purchases of 1.54 billion riyals (≈ $410.8 million) in July 2026, according to the monthly market report from the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul). Total institutional buying reached about 9.71 billion riyals (≈ $2.59 billion) against sales of 8.17 billion riyals (≈ $2.18 billion). Companies led the sector with a net purchase of 1.29 billion riyals (≈ $345.2 million), followed by investment funds at 346.6 million riyals (≈ $92.4 million) and managed portfolios at 122.1 million riyals (≈ $32.6 million).
The activity translated into a net purchase of 483.2 million riyals (≈ $128.9 million) for Saudi investors overall. Saudi investors’ total purchases amounted to 48.75 billion riyals (56.62% of market buying) versus sales of 48.26 billion riyals (56.06% of market selling. Saudi individual investors recorded a net sell of 1.057 billion riyals. Gulf investors posted a net purchase of 181.4 million riyals, while foreign investors posted a net sell of 664.6 million riyals, with foreign institutions and managed portfolios selling 194.2 million and 3.5 million riyals respectively, and foreign individuals buying a net 18.96 million riyals.
