Saudi King Salman chairs cabinet meeting, backs Yemen and denounces Houthi accusations
King Salman presided over a Saudi cabinet meeting in Jeddah, during which ministers reviewed a phone call between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. The discussion praised Saudi Arabia’s support for Lebanon and its contributions to regional stability.
The cabinet condemned false allegations made by Yemen’s Houthi militia, reaffirmed continued support for Yemen’s legitimate government, and noted steps to protect Saudi security and shipping in line with international law. It expressed solidarity with Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan against Iranian aggression, called for an immediate halt to all forms of military escalation, and highlighted Saudi achievements in sustainable development, United Nations initiatives and digital government reforms.
