Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah advances innovation program

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is advancing its Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program to develop and test creative solutions for pilgrims. The initiative aims to support startups and innovators by connecting their products with the needs of service providers, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program.

The program operates through two primary tracks: “Development and Innovation,” which focuses on testing initiatives to solve systemic challenges, and “Startups,” which facilitates investment partnerships and connects new businesses with service providers.

During the 1447H Hajj season, several innovative solutions were tested in real operational environments, including smart golf carts, smart cabins, smart chairs, mobile units, the “Amanatak” digital platform, and the “My Journey Stories” innovation. To date, the program has reached over 761,000 beneficiaries among innovators and entrepreneurs, signed more than 145 agreements, and conducted 522 field and virtual evaluations.
