Saudi Ministry of Municipalities and Housing reports 7 million square meters of land development
The Saudi Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced that 7 million square meters of white land in the Tabuk, Hail, and Jazan regions have entered development or trading tracks. This progress is a result of the white land and vacant real estate fees system, which aims to stimulate land development and improve land use efficiency within urban areas.
Of the total area, 5.3 million square meters have entered circulation, 466,000 square meters have been developed, and 1.3 million square meters are currently under development. The revenue generated from these fees has supported 21 housing projects in these three regions, specifically targeting residential projects and infrastructure readiness.
Nationwide, the ministry previously reported that approximately 286 million square meters of land have entered development or circulation. This includes significant portions in the Eastern Province (146 million square meters), Riyadh (71 million), Makkah (28 million), Madinah (19 million), Al-Qassim (15 million), and Asir (7 million).
