Saudi Pro League releases 2026-27 season schedule amid Asian Cup preparations

The Saudi Pro League announced the full fixture list for the 2026-27 Roshn Saudi League season. The 18‑team competition will feature 306 matches across 34 rounds, running from 13 August 2026 to 29 May 2027. The schedule was finalised after workshops with all clubs, allowing them to submit observations on match order and timing.

Planners had to accommodate a congested calendar: eight Saudi clubs will compete in four international competitions, and the league needed to fit FIFA international breaks and the national‑team commitments of the Green Falcons. In addition, Saudi Arabia is set to host the AFC Asian Cup 2027, requiring venue availability and a pause or adjustment of league fixtures. The league also classified clubs into four levels to balance match difficulty and avoid consecutive high‑level clashes.

Key derby fixtures include Al‑Hilal versus Al‑Nassr, scheduled for round 17 and again in round 34, the latter described as the decisive "final‑round" meeting.
