Al-Nassr defeats Diriyah 3-0 as Ronaldo nears 1,000 goals FAST-MOVING
Al-Nassr secured a 3-0 victory against Diriyah in the eighth round of the Saudi Pro League, moving to 19 points and tying with Al-Qadsiah for second place in the standings. Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, marking his 980th career goal and bringing him within 20 goals of the 1,000-goal milestone. Samu Costa added a second goal in the 35th minute, and Kingsley Coman completed the win in the 77th minute.
The match served as a significant return for Ronaldo following a high-profile dispute with Portugal national team coach Jorge Jesus. Ronaldo had recently left the Portuguese camp during an international break after accusing Jesus of failing to honor agreements regarding his playing time. Despite the controversy and potential disciplinary actions from the Portuguese Football Federation, Ronaldo appeared in good physical condition and received strong support from Al-Nassr fans at the Al-Awwal Park stadium.
