Saudi stock market rebounds amid oil price shifts and geopolitical tensions

The Saudi stock market (TASI) rose by 0.6% to 10,170 points during early trading on Sunday, marking a recovery after two consecutive sessions of declines. Investors are currently monitoring third-quarter corporate earnings and assessing the impact of regional military escalations and rising oil prices on listed companies.

Geopolitical tensions remain a significant factor, with ongoing missile and drone attacks by Houthi forces against Saudi Arabia and targeting tankers in the Strait of Hormuz raising concerns over maritime security and supply chains. Brent crude rose toward $110 per barrel, its highest level since May, following a 3.7% jump on Friday. Analysts noted that while high oil prices can benefit energy companies, they may also pressure the broader market through inflation and increased financing costs.

Market analysts suggest that a sustained rebound will require improved liquidity and earnings results that exceed expectations. The 10,000-point level for the TASI index is viewed as a critical technical and psychological support level for investors.
