Saudi worker dies after fighting fire at Dammam airport

Ali Al-Qahtani has shared details regarding the death of his son, Sultan Al-Qahtani, who died after participating in efforts to extinguish a fire at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam. The fire broke out following a Houthi attack.

Sultan was on duty near gates 19 and 20 when the explosion occurred. According to his father, Sultan rushed to the site with colleagues to prevent the flames from spreading to aircraft and passengers, using available fire extinguishers.

After the initial firefighting efforts, Sultan returned to his office but began experiencing chest pains. His colleagues advised him to seek medical attention, and he was transported to the German Hospital and subsequently to the Central Hospital, where he passed away.
