Saudia and Qatar Airways announce Middle East aviation expansions

Saudia has received approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Oman to launch new direct flight services between Muscat and Riyadh. Scheduled to begin on October 27, 2026, the carrier plans to operate three weekly flights connecting Muscat International Airport and King Khalid International Airport.

In a separate development, Qatar Airways is resuming services to four Saudi Arabian destinations. Starting October 25, the airline will restore flights to Qassim. Services to Taif will commence on October 31, followed by the resumption of flights to Yanbu on January 2, 2027, and Tabuk on January 3, 2027.

Additionally, Qatar Airways has announced a partnership with Uber for Business. This collaboration allows members of the airline’s Beyond Business programme to redeem Qrewards for Uber ride vouchers, integrating ground transportation into their corporate travel offerings.
