Saundersfoot residents oppose third planning application for traveller site

Residents in the seaside village of Saundersfoot are continuing to oppose plans for a traveller site at Froghall Yard on Moreton Lane. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority has twice refused applications for the site, which includes a static caravan, a touring caravan, and a utility room. A third application is currently awaiting determination.

Local objectors have raised concerns regarding the environmental impact, stating that over the last decade, successive owners have cleared broadleaved woodland to create flat scrubland. Despite an enforcement notice, residents claim the site has been intermittently occupied without permission for mains water or sewerage connections. The Saundersfoot Community Council has voted unanimously to object to the development, supported by a 300-signature petition.
