Saurav Das moves Delhi High Court over alleged leak of private residential details

Saurav Das, a spokesperson for the Cockroach Janta Party, has approached the Delhi High Court seeking legal action against commentator Abhijit Iyer Mitra and several media platforms for allegedly disclosing his private residential details.

The lawsuit names Google LLC, X Corp, and various law and media portals—including Lawbeat, Sunday Guardian, Jaipur Dialogues, and Pamphlet—as defendants. Das alleges that these entities unlawfully discovered, recorded, and disseminated his residential address, as well as sensitive personal information regarding his background, his parents, and his sexuality.

Das claims that the disclosure of his precise location poses a foreseeable risk of violence, citing past instances of targeted hostility due to his journalistic and political work. He further alleges that representatives from Pamphlet trespassed on his shared residential premises in Greater Kailash to record footage of the home's interior for social media. The suit seeks a permanent injunction to prevent further disclosure and requests damages for violations of his rights to privacy, dignity, and security.
