Sava administration criticized over school bus funding

The Movimento 5 Stelle (M5S) has criticized the municipal administration of Sava following the announcement of a new green school bus funded entirely by local municipal resources.

Manuel Vozza, the M5S territorial representative for Sava, questioned the administration's ability to secure external funding. He noted that one year ago, the Puglia region funded 32 new electric school buses for several nearby municipalities, including Fragagnano, San Marzano di San Giuseppe, and Lizzano, but Sava was excluded from that initiative.

In addition to the funding concerns, the M5S highlighted the delivery timeline. The new vehicle is not expected to arrive until February 2027, meaning the current service will continue with existing vehicles for the foreseeable future. The political group stated they do not contest the necessity of the vehicle, but rather the administrative planning and the failure to intercept available regional resources.
