Savannah, Georgia, police arrest man in fatal shooting of Dominican manager

Ramone Green, 40, has been arrested and faces charges of felony murder and aggravated assault following the death of 20-year-old Saúl Gabriel García Santos in Savannah, Georgia.

García Santos, a Dominican national, was working as an operations manager for a moving company when he reportedly fired Green on the morning of October 10. According to family accounts and investigative reports, Green returned to the workplace later that day while García Santos was alone. The suspect allegedly threatened the victim with a firearm and forced him into a company moving truck.

Green reportedly drove less than a mile before abandoning the victim by the side of the road. Savannah Police responded to reports of an unconscious pedestrian at the intersection of President Street and Wahlstrom Road, where emergency responders determined García Santos had sustained a gunshot wound and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Green, who reportedly has a criminal history including at least four prior arrests, surrendered to authorities the following day. Investigations are ongoing to determine whether the fatal shot was fired inside or outside the vehicle.
