Savannah Guthrie discusses motherhood in her 40s on Today

During an episode of ‘Today with Jenna & Sheinelle’, Savannah Guthrie shared reflections on the experience of becoming a mother in her 40s. Guthrie, who shares two children, Vale and Charley, with husband Michael Feldman, noted that while there are challenges such as getting tired more quickly, there are also advantages.

Guthrie stated that having children later in life allowed for more career stability and a sense of wisdom compared to the juggling required in one's 20s or 30s. She expressed feeling ‘profoundly lucky’ to have had her children, mentioning that she turned 45 just two weeks after the birth of her son, Charley.

Her comments moved co-host and longtime friend Jenna Bush Hager to tears during the broadcast. Bush Hager, who also has children, expressed her delight for Guthrie’s journey.
