Savannah Guthrie appeals for help in missing mother Nancy Guthrie case
Nancy Guthrie, 84, vanished from her Tucson, Arizona home on the night of Jan. 31–Feb. 1, 2026. Her daughter, Today show host Savannah Guthrie, has repeatedly posted emotional pleas on Instagram, describing her family’s “agony and despair” and urging anyone with information to come forward. The Pima County Sheriff’s Office released two ransom notes – the first on Feb. 2 demanding $4 million in cryptocurrency, the second on Feb. 6 claiming Nancy had died and was buried in nature. No suspects have been arrested; investigators, including the FBI, continue to search for leads. A report alleges that early evidence, such as blood on the front porch, may have been overlooked. Authorities are offering a reward and ask the public to recognize the handwriting or any unusual behavior that could help solve the case.
