Saved by the Bell sitcom inspires retro 90s baby name trends

Nineties-era baby names inspired by the classic sitcom ‘Saved by the Bell’ are seeing a resurgence in popularity. The show, which follows a group of friends at Bayside High in California, serves as a cultural time capsule for the decade.

Potential names for a new generation include Zachary, inspired by the character Zack Morris played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar, and Lisa, inspired by the stylish character Lisa Turtle played by Lark Voorhies. Other notable cast members include Tiffani Thiessen, Mario Lopez, Dustin Diamond, Elizabeth Berkley, and Dennis Haskins.
